Key responsibilities of the position:
The Branch Manager manages the branch operation to ensure that it functions effectively and efficiently to maximise profitability while maintaining the highest level of service. The Branch Manager is required to exercise independent judgment, making the majority of daily decisions regarding the operation. The Branch Manager is clear about authority provided within the role, and has the judgment and maturity to gain support and approval from a higher level when that is required. All duties and service provision will be completed in accordance with established operational procedures and company policies.
Tasks to be performed to meet the responsibilities:
Direct all operational aspects including Sales, Service, Parts, Accounts, Operations & Admin.
Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities
Manage budget and allocate funds appropriately
Bring out the best of branch’s personnel by providing training, coaching, development and motivation
Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities
Share knowledge with other branches and headquarters on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs
Address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly
Adhere to high ethical standards, and comply with all regulations/applicable laws
Network to improve the presence and reputation of the branch and company
Stay abreast of competing markets and provide reports on market movement and penetration
Excellent organizational skills
Proven branch management experience
