Regional IT Manager
Job Description

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Define and implement regional and site IT strategies standards in alignment with the global strategies
  • Ensure proper, safe and secure IS infrastructure and operations for the regional business
  • Implement, support and maintain all the business systems such as ERP, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, etc in liaison with global teams
  • Provide technical guidance and advice, apply technical solutions for business processes
  • Ensure the satisfaction of internal and external customers
  • Foster an environment where people are engaged in the business in a team atmosphere
  • Ensure appropriate staffing and keep people motivated
  • Identify areas where technology and people can jointly bring improvement and competitive advantage
  • Embrace, support and win commitment for continuous improvement initiatives so as to drive the team to greater productivity, efficiency & effectiveness
  • Finalize the annual AOP in consultation with the sites & business units and meet the set goals
  • Strive to make project management a core competency among IS staff
  • Proactively explore and exploit opportunities in the region to add value and reduce cost.
  • Ensure compliance to SOX /ISO TS 16949 and our Policies & Procedures
  • Evaluate business requirements, recommend appropriate systems solutions and coordinate between business and IS
  • Provide operations and support groups in India with a single point of contact for all IS projects
  • Provide Service Delivery teams with project documentation, including formal Statement of Work

 

 Education/Experience

·         Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering; MBA highly preferred

·         International assignment or exposure

·         Over 5 years of experience in IT Management

·         Business Management and Business Analyst experience

·         Cross-functional experience in manufacturing operations and Finance related to automotive business

·         Solid experience in ERP implementation and support

·         Budget Management Experience

·         Team leadership experience with increasing levels of challenge in assignments

 

Business Applications:

·         Evaluate, Understand, and Analyze Business Systems in order to properly interact with Service Delivery functions.

·         Work with Service Delivery teams to plan, coordinate and implement system as well as business process upgrades

·         General knowledge of multiple IT functions is required, including but not limited to ERP, PLM, EDI, Web Development, and HRMS

Infrastructure and System Software:

 

·         General knowledge of IT infrastructure elements such as Servers, PCs, LAN, peripherals and WAN

·         General understanding of UNIX and Database Administration

 

Knowledge Required for Position:

 

·         Good Knowledge of Manufacturing Business Processes

·         General business knowledge (Engineering, Procurement, Sales, IS, Finance, HR, etc.)

·         Understanding of automotive business
