Job Description

The IT Manager is responsible for installing and maintaining computer hardware, software and networks.
He/she is responsible for assembling IT products, tools, network management and equipment to meet current and future needs.
Implement approved policies, standards operating procedures (SOPs), work plan, manuals and other support systems to manage the IT Department to achieve targeted objectives.
Analyze technical options available within the existing technology and recommend appropriate solutions to meet business requirements.
Study information needs, confer with users/clients, study systems flow, data usage, work processes, investigate problem areas and follow the software development lifecycle to ensure quality products and solutions.
Study and test new programs to ensure accuracy and correctness in judgment and language rules.
Responsible for prompt upgrades and enhancements of software systems.
Perform system analysis and programming tasks to maintain and control the use of computer systems software.
Ensure software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.
Modify and update existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware and improve on its performance.
Control the computer systems budgets and expenditures.
Monitor to ensure that the Company is protected against IT intrusion and other attacks e.g. illegal database updates, viruses, etc.
Maintain professional relationship with service providers, clients and other stakeholders to
facilitate the development of software applications and solutions.
Stay abreast with new emerging trends and best practices in software development /programming tools and methodologies to improve on the delivery of products and solutions.
Maintain, update, repair and/or modify existing programmes to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
Maintain and update data on software developed for easy retrieval and accessibility of information.
Install and maintain fool proof and passwords.
Input and maintain IP addresses.
Ensure and maintain effective usage of attendance biometric Machine
Prepare periodic and monthly department reports
Coordinate with external stakeholders on the functioning on Reroy telecommunication
Install, monitor and maintain Reroys CCTV
Perform any other duty assigned by Superior Officers.

Desired Skills & Experience

Good knowledge and experience in developing and troubleshooting complex software systems that run in mixed-environments including Linux, Unix and/or Windows
Good knowledge and experience of programming languages, (like Java, C++, Python, PHP, etc.) tools and methodologies.
Good knowledge and ability to develop variety of software systems.
Good ability to use one or more IDEs (e.g., Eclipse) and interactive debuggers effectively.
Good planning and organizing skills.
Must be abreast with IT trends.
Negotiation and conflict management skills.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Ability to maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work effectively with all categories of employees.
Good project management skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced and often pressured environment.
Decision making based on thorough analysis.
Good supervisory and interpersonal skills in a team setting.
